We are thrilled to welcome you to our termly classes, designed to suit everyone from complete beginners to more experienced potters! Each course is led by a friendly and experienced tutor who’s here to share their knowledge with you. You'll find our class sizes are cozy, ensuring that you receive lots of individual attention to help you thrive. If you're an adult aged 16 or over, you're more than welcome to join us! Just a quick note for our younger learners aged 16 to 18: you’ll need to have a parent or guardian with you. We can't wait to see you there and embark on this exciting journey together!
Adult Pottery Classes for Beginners
3 hours sessions for 6 weeks
Join our 6-week Pottery Course for Beginners!
Our small-group classes are designed especially for beginners and gently guide you through each stage of the pottery process. Over six weeks, you'll build confidence in both wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques, creating your own unique ceramic pieces. Each 3-hour session includes hands-on experience with two different clay bodies, as well as instruction in turning and glazing to help you complete your creations from start to finish.
Good news – it’s not too late to join our Summer 1 Term!
Even though the term has begun, you're welcome to jump in and only pay for the sessions you attend. With just 4 students per class, you’ll receive plenty of individual attention, and each session is tailored to your personal goals and interests. Classes run weekly on the same day and time, but if you miss a session, you’ll have the chance to catch up on a different day.
Pottery classes run every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning from 9:30 to 12:30. There are still place left in some of the classes.
They start in the week beginning 21st April and end in the week beginning 26th May.
Price: £270 (£45 for a three hour session)
Children Pottery Classes
2 hours sessions for 6 weeks
Join us for a delightful adventure in pottery, where you'll learn hand-building techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab building! You’ll have the chance to choose your very own project, putting all that creativity to work. To help inspire you, we’ve got a lovely array of templates, pictures, and books on hand to guide your selection. Plus, you won’t be alone on this journey; our friendly and experienced teacher will be there to support you every step of the way, ensuring you achieve wonderful results. By the end of the course, you'll walk away with a charming selection of ceramic pieces, ready to show off at home! We’d love for your child to join in on this creative experience.
This course is based on demand, so if you’re interested in securing a spot during the week from 5pm to 7pm, please do drop us an email to get your child on our waiting list.

Self-Led Pottery Time
3 hours sessions
Looking to develop your throwing skills or focus on a handbuilding project of your own? Our flexible 6-week course is just what you need. Book 3-hour self-led sessions in a block, and enjoy the freedom to explore your own ideas at your own pace. A member of our team will always be on hand to provide materials, tools, and expert guidance whenever you need it.
Classes run weekly on the same day and time, but if you miss a session, we’re happy to arrange a catch-up so you don’t miss out.
Summer Term 1 kicked off the week of April 21st and runs through the week beginning May 26th—but don’t worry if you missed the start! You can still join now and only pay for the sessions you attend.
Session times: Monday to Friday, 1pm–4pm.
If you prefer a later slot, we offer 5pm–8pm sessions too—just email info@paupottery.co.uk to discuss your prefered time.
Price: £250 for 6 sessions (£42 each session)
